WEALTH ARCHITECT PROMOTER DISCLOSURE

Wealth Architect, Inc. and its subsidiary, Wealth Architect Investment Advisor LLC (together, “Wealth Architect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), work with people who talk about Wealth Architect in social media posts, videos, podcasts, newsletters and other content. We call these people “promoters.” This disclosure explains who our promoters are, how we pay them and why that payment matters to you when you read or watch what they say.

In short: many of the people you see recommending Wealth Architect are paid by us. Being paid gives them a reason to speak well of Wealth Architect. Their views reflect their own experience and are not a guarantee of your results.

Testimonials and Endorsements

Wealth Architect uses both testimonials and endorsements in its marketing.

  • Testimonials are statements about their experience with Wealth Architect made by people who are current Wealth Architect customers or clients.
  • Endorsements are statements about Wealth Architect made by people who are not current Wealth Architect customers or clients, such as creators, commentators or partner organizations.

When a promoter shares a testimonial or endorsement, they are required to state clearly and prominently, at the time it is shared:

  • whether they are a current Wealth Architect customer or client (a testimonial) or not (an endorsement);
  • that they received cash or non-cash compensation from Wealth Architect, if they did; and
  • a brief statement of any material conflicts of interest arising from their relationship with Wealth Architect.

This page describes the material terms of those compensation arrangements and the conflicts of interest they create.

How We Compensate Promoters

We compensate promoters in one or more of the following ways. A single promoter may receive more than one type of compensation.

  • Fixed cash compensation. A set cash payment for creating or sharing content about Wealth Architect, such as a flat fee for a post, video, podcast segment or campaign. The payment does not depend on how many people sign up.
  • Free access to Wealth Architect. Complimentary or discounted access to the Wealth Architect subscription, such as a free or extended subscription period, in exchange for creating or sharing content.
  • Affiliate compensation. A set amount of money for each month that a customer they referred remains a paying Wealth Architect subscriber. Payments continue for as long as the referred customer stays subscribed, under the terms of the promoter’s agreement with us.   • Equity. In rare cases, a promoter may receive an ownership interest in Wealth Architect, Inc. in exchange for their posting.

Conflicts of Interest

Compensated promoters have a financial incentive to recommend Wealth Architect and to describe it favorably. That incentive is a conflict of interest, and you should take it into account when deciding how much weight to give what they say. In particular:

  • A promoter paid a fixed fee or given free access benefits from their relationship with us whether or not you sign up, and may want to keep that relationship going.
  • A promoter paid affiliate compensation earns more for each person who subscribes through them and for every month those people stay subscribed, which gives them an incentive both to encourage you to subscribe and to encourage you to remain subscribed.
  • A promoter who holds equity benefits financially if Wealth Architect grows or increases in value, so they have a long-term financial interest in Wealth Architect’s success.

Important Information About Promoter Content

  • Testimonials and endorsements reflect the individual experience and opinions of the person giving them. They may not be representative of the experience of other customers or clients.
  • Individual results vary. A testimonial or endorsement is not a guarantee of future performance, results or success.
  • Promoters are not authorized to give investment, tax, legal or other professional advice on behalf of Wealth Architect, and nothing a promoter says is personalized advice for you.

Our Practices

Wealth Architect enters into written agreements with promoters whose compensation exceeds the applicable de minimis threshold, requires promoters to make the disclosures described above, and does not compensate persons who are disqualified from acting as promoters under applicable rules.
